South Birmingham Sinfonia return to Shirley Methodist Church for the first time since COVID lockdown, with Music Director, Sabrina Ko, and Leader, James Hamilton.
Featuring an exciting programme of romantic music by Russian composers, Dmitri Shostakovich, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninov, and including the ever popular Violin Concert by Tchaikovsky performed by Charlotte Moseley, SBS will take you on a voyage from the exciting Fesival that is Shostakovich's overture originally written for the Bolshoi Theatre, through Tchaikovsky's concerto written for violinist and lover Iosif Kotek, to Sergei Rachmaninov's lush second symphony.
